Meteorologists at Geosphere Austria also forecast mild weather for the new week in a release on Sunday, although it is expected to become increasingly unsettled.
Weather Vienna
Monday will start in some inner Alpine basins and valleys, as well as in the eastern lowlands and on the eastern edge of the Alps, with fog or high fog of varying persistence. Afterwards, however, the sun will shine for the most part. The weather in the mountains will be sunny and dry in the morning. Towards evening, the first denser clouds will move in from the southwest. Highs will reach 13 to 20 degrees.
South of the main ridge of the Alps and generally in the west of the country, dense clouds will prevail on Tuesday, apart from short sunny spells, and at times it will rain. However, most precipitation will fall from East Tyrol eastward to Lower Carinthia. Further north and east, it will initially be sunny or cloudy. Subsequently, however, clouds will move in from the south, and local rain showers are expected during the afternoon. Temperatures will be similar to those of the previous day.
Low pressure passes by, bringing rainy weather
A low-pressure system will pass Austria during the day on Wednesday, bringing rainy weather and dense clouds. Partly, it also rains persistently and heavily, but the focus of precipitation is still uncertain. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 11 to 18 degrees.
With a westerly high-altitude current, disturbance zones arrive quickly on the national holiday, bringing unsettled weather. There will be at least short rain showers everywhere, although the sun may come out a little in between. 14 to 19 degrees are expected.
Occasional sunny weather
On Friday, a disturbance zone will move eastward. In the eastern half, it will still rain frequently; in the west, hardly at all. During the day, sunny weather will set in everywhere from the west, but isolated showers are still likely on the northern side of the Alps.
